As the organisation evolved, existing operating structures no longer reflected the way the business needed to function. Responsibilities had become fragmented, governance lacked clarity and operational processes were creating unnecessary complexity across the organisation.
Our Approach
Antares partnered with CalMac to design and implement a new Target Operating Model centred on accountability, governance and operational resilience. We worked across business functions to redesign reporting structures, clarify responsibilities and strengthen decision-making without disrupting day-to-day operations.
The programme extended well beyond organisational charts. It required careful planning of system access, information flows, governance controls and extensive change management to ensure every operational responsibility transitioned seamlessly into the new model.
Outcome
The new operating model introduced clearer governance, stronger accountability and a more scalable organisational structure capable of supporting future growth. The transition was delivered with minimal operational disruption, giving the organisation greater confidence in how decisions were made, how information flowed and how critical operational responsibilities were managed.
